Why you? I will work to support and strengthen the vision of our forefathers. I’m a strong supporter of the Constitution, foremost, the right to life and the right to bear arms. We each have the right to have our beliefs, speak our minds, and not be silenced by political mobs.

It isn’t local health departments that are keeping schools closed in response to the Covid pandemic. It is the national teachers associations. Parents’ educational choices are being limited by federal regulations. We can cut red tape and help our students learn and prepare for the exciting future which faces them if we preserve our liberties.

Everyone can be a small business owner if the government doesn’t crush the economy with regulations. I want to keep DC from ruining the tech economy. We can’t let regulations get in the way of technology’s promise. Currently, tech giants seek to entrench their power, use it to promote their agenda, and destroy the competition.

I want to make our healthcare costs more transparent, and let the market drive costs down. I will fight for more medical choice, to lower costs and improve lives.

All politics is local. But politics today is being driven top-down by a supranational oligarchy that does not care about us. I will be an advocate in Washington for our country’s parents and students. I will be an innovator to foster a fertile business environment so we can all profit from the new digital economy. I will be a reformer to help lower healthcare costs. The Sanctity of Human Life

We need to protect those who cannot speak for themselves. Each and every human life has inherent dignity. Every person must be treated with respect from the moment of conception to natural death.

We see this moral imperative violated in policy when abortion is encouraged and celebrated, when families are separated at the border, and when we don’t speak out against injustice in the criminal justice system. In Congress, I will support only policies in national and foreign policy that will defend life. I will work to help mothers facing crisis pregnancies and couples hoping to adopt. Our Children

It is a fundamental duty of parents not only to support their children and to protect them from harm, but also to provide a quality education for them, supported by teachers and administrators. In Congress, I will support parents in their role as their children’s primary educators by promoting school choice, seeking tax credits for educational expenses–including tuition-–and ensuring parents have a voice in what their children learn. I believe that parents know the best way to teach their own children and those members of such institutions as local school boards, teachers’ organizations, and teachers themselves are most productive and effective when partnering and cooperating with parents. Our Schools

As a parent, teacher, school administrator, and school board member, I understand the many facets of education. Effective education begins with understanding the needs of the individual student. Being able to read, write, and do arithmetic are the fundamental skills necessary for adulthood and good citizenship, but these primary subject areas must be supplemented by developing a student’s individual interests in the sciences, arts, and humanities. A rich background in the classics of language, history, and literature is also necessary to develop and ensure each child’s cultural literacy, that is, the capacity to communicate clearly with others regarding complex questions of public policy and thereby to participate intelligently and fully in self-government. Our Families

The human family was designed to be multi-generational. In Congress I will work to create a variety of elder care options to enable care in the family home rather than institutional settings. I will work to preserve the solvency of existing Social Security and health care programs while opening up self-managed retirement and medical savings accounts for young working people who prefer to take that direction. In a free society, individuals should have the choice to continue with the programs they presently enjoy if they wish, or to adopt more flexible programs if that is their desire. Our Neighborhoods

In the past several years, crime has greatly increased in those cities and counties around the country. Drug and gang-related crime and murders are up in major portions of the 10th District. Loudoun’s serious crime rate in 2019 was 6.6 crimes per 1,000 residents, the lowest reported rate in the region. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office noted that this reflected a 34% decrease in crime from seven years prior. But serious gang-related and drug-related crimes, including murder, are increasing on the periphery of our congressional district. I will continue the tireless and effective work of my predecessors, Representative Frank Wolf and Barbara Comstock, to combat drug-related, gang-related, and other serious crimes in our neighborhoods and schools. Our Environment

We all appreciate fresh air, clean water, and verdant greenery. I’m an organic farmer, and I’m working to leave a cleaner farm and world for my children. There is a huge opportunity for conservation of our beautiful valleys and mountains by promoting smart and clean farming practices. Our Technology

We see technology emerging in all aspects of our lives and our economy, from our phones to our jobs, and everywhere in between. I have been working in the technology sector for my whole post-college career. I have seen first-hand how quickly technology can change, as my first job out of college as an iPhone and Android mobile developer did not exist when I graduated from high school. Since the technology industry changes quickly, and has become integral to the functioning of the economy, crafting policy requires a deep understanding of the field. Our Food

The right farming policy also provides us with the opportunity to diversify and protect our food supply. Northern Virginia has a venerable history in food production. Loudoun was the breadbasket of the Continental Army during the American Revolution – its major supply source of grains. Even as late as World War I, Allied forces in Europe were heavily dependent on foodstuffs from Loudoun County. Today, Loudoun County, the core of the 10th congressional district, is a major producer and supplier of hay to American farmers. Our Tax Policy

Our tax programs now being discussed will destroy family-owned farms and other family-owned businesses — through new capital gains taxes, death taxes, and elimination of step-ups in cost-basis upon death. I will do everything in my power to prevent these taxes from being adopted, or if adopted by the present Congress, to repeal them quickly before they do irreparable damage. Our Healthcare

America’s healthcare services are hamstrung by the current regulatory morass. The lack of transparency in healthcare, the everyday costs, and the threats to healthcare programs burden our families with uncertainty. Lower costs and lower deductibles also help our small business owners, as the high deductibles and unaffordable plans now becoming the norm prevent new companies from even starting up. Our Infrastructure

Broadband Internet has become an infrastructural necessity, and the paucity of access affects everyone: urban, suburban, and rural. We saw its importance during the COVID shutdowns, from education to work, and we saw that in some communities, children couldn’t learn and employees couldn’t connect to do their jobs. In Congress, I will focus on building out broadband throughout the country, by working with local boards of supervisors, providing tax credits for companies investing in fiber, and tempering the regulatory burdens faced by communications company startups.
